Still Here

by From a Cloud / Låda

about

This is the first of (hopefully) many collaborations with friends to come.

Annie Låda and I wrote this song together earlier last year and we kind of forgot about it. Recently I had an idea to do a bunch of small collaborations with friends instead of starting ten new bands. Doing so would give me and others a chance to be a part of more music and songwriting without all of the time commitments necessary to have multiple bands. The goal is to write, record, and share it.

lyrics

I think it's weird that we get old but we still look the same
wrinkled lines, tired eyes, loss of hair if not grey
you think we'd change a little more from the weight here on earth
I know I'm not even the same human I was at birth

but we're still here after all of these years of
cigarettes and junk food and fighting off fears of
living alone after losing what's dear to us
